Tem um tempo, eu conversei com professor de musculação que era um “intelectualóide”. Ele dizia odiar casas noturnas, boates, por que lá as pessoas só pensavam no corpo [sic] e se esqueciam do cérebro. Bem, não vou entrar no mérito da questão quanto ao exercício da sexualidade e as baladas da vida, este é um tema bastante complexo e não estou “na pegada” de falar sobre isso.
Um dos pontos de nossa conversa foi sobre música clássica. Sim, sabe aquela música que tem violinos, piano, trompetes, trombones, baixos, oboés? Música clássica está muito além de “I always loves you” da Whitney Houston, como diria Marisa Toutchfine (LBFV). Música clássica quando abraçada com inteireza nos leva a uma emoção sem igual. Vou lhes dar um exemplo: este que vos escreve foi assistir um concerto especial da OSESP (Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo) no aniversário de morte do controverso maestro e compositor VillaLobos no qual foi apresentado a peça “Grande Fantasia Triunfal com variações para o Hino Nacional Brasileiro”, obra do norte-americano, Louis Moreau Gottschalk (1829 -1869), que se apaixonou pela música de Francisco Manuel da Silva. Foi realmente engrandecedor. Se tivesse algum “hermano” por ali a vontade era de gritar “chupa Argentina!”. Me contive. (risos)
Falávamos, o tal professor e eu, sobre música clássica e, como se pensasse que eu pela pouca idade não saberia nada de música clássica, fui obrigado a dar um chega-pra-lá no sujeito. Não satisfeito, ele disse que certas pessoas jamais ouvirão música clássica por simplesmente não terem sido ensinadas a ouvi-la e mais uma vez eu tive que recorrer a minha mente para me recordar de algumas produções da música eletrônica que utilizavam a música clássica como matéria prima afim de democratizar o acesso à essa vertente musical (embora os “producers” não o façam por uma questão político-social). Nisso entrou uma ária (Habanera) da ópera Carmem, de Bizet, que já foi muito executa por aí como techno-opera e mais recentemente algumas produções do DJ Tiësto (sou muito fã desse cara) com “Adágio for the Strings” que recria a aura de contemplação que paira sobre as salas de concerto ao redor do mundo.
Ainda assim o agora tinhoso professor resistia em admitir que a música clássica e a eletrônica podem conviver muito bem se houver alguém capaz de transformar alquimicamente óleo e água numa coisa só, chacoalhando muito bem esse recipiente. Mas é realmente preciso muuuita produção para conseguir fazer surgir nova vida das já conhecidas batidas, senão estraga-se uma e outra. Talvez para os ouvidos não treinados o “bate-que-bate” está perfeito, mas para quem tem o treinamento da coisa consegue perceber as diferenças. Enfim…
Estamos acostumados a ouvir certas produções que usam e abusam das tendências da musicoterapia, coisa que nem todos os “profissionais” da música aprenderam a usar com profissionalismo – e quando digo isso me refiro ao fato de se usar os conhecimentos técnicos e suas influências psicológicas com objetivo claro de impactar a audiência.
Há certas harmonias que tornaram-se padrões para a enxurrada de determinados sentimentos. Para isso é importante levar em consideração a formação sócio-cultural do público ouvinte e sua predisposição para certas “levadas”. Quase sempre ouve-se nas produções eletrônicas brasileiras os nossos ritmos ou os elementos rítmicos, embora há uns e outros que, brasileiros, acham o uso de elementos nacionais algo que “empobreça” a produção. Eu realmente discordo disso. É fácil identificar quando determinados elementos musicais tornam-se atemporais. Por exemplo: brasileiro sempre terá uma queda por aquele tica-tica-bum, europeus sempre se interessam por maior complexidade e arrojo harmônico, latinos gostam de se identificar com elementos nativos.
A música assim como a língua é um dos maiores patrimônios e símbolos de integração social de uma nação. Por mais populista que certas vertentes musicais possam ser, o enriquecimento destas com a aquisição de outros elementos culturais sempre produzem novas percepções quanto a qualidade da produção.
Para se executar com qualidade qualquer peça de música “erudita” é preciso que o instrumentista tenha o conhecimento sobre a história do compositor, o contexto histórico da composição e os andamentos pedidos pelo autor, sem contudo se esquecer do diretor (maestro). O músico é como um ator que ao inves de usar a voz para elaborar pronunciamentos e o corpo para demonstrar a linguagem não-verbal dos sentimentos envolvidos, precisa passar todas essas informações através de seu instrumento imprimindo sentimento à execução, coisa extremamente dificil e capaz de elevar ao grau de “virtuosi” e aos djs cabe a dificil tarefa de usar certos acordes, compassos, harmonias, para fazer surgir esses sentimentos em quem os ouve. Ouvir música eletrônica tem deixado de ser algo simples e comum e tem se tornado algo politizado e bem mais complexo ao passo em que sua audiência torna-se mais critica e exigente no que diz respeito à música que ouve diariamente e ao período histórico que vivemos. Aquela época de pular ao som de qualquer coisa já não tem mais espaço. Por mais “high” que se possa estar, o público consegue perceber claramente quando algo vai bem ou não na execução. Ele sabe quando a música é inapropriada, embora não seja educado tecnicamente para entender sobre o andamento, BPM, e outras informações técnicas. Mas eles entendem e muito de sentir a vibe do som e isso é o que manda a mensagem.
Para não alongar e promover uma continuidade dessa nossa discussão, quero propor que ouçamos a apresentação de “Adágio for Strings, opus 11” de Samuel Barber e que o dj Tiësto repaginou e assim começaremos a ver e discutir como a música “jovem” vem sendo influenciada por outros elementos.
